Using FlightScope X2 Launch Monitor Technology, we can determine the proper length, loft, face angle, total weight, swing-weight, and shaft necessary to hit longer and straighter drives. Below is more about what we look at, and why it's so important to be fit by a knowledgable club-fitter like those here at Southy Custom Golf.  We fit all Drivers and Fairway Woods to the following variables:

  • Length
  • Loft
  • Total Weight & Swing Weight
  • Face Angle

"With more varieties of drivers available, and with dozens of adjustments of loft, lie and face angle, as well as center-of-gravity locations—even within the same head—it's easier to optimize a club to any swing. A quality fitter can help you achieve your potential."
— Mike Stachura, Golf Digest

Driver & Fairway Fitting

Hybrid & Irons Fitting

An Iron Fitting is truely about minimizing your mis-hits, and when a mis-hit occures its a better mis-hit... Using FlightScope X2 Launch Monitor Technology, Southy Custom Golf can determine your best length, lie, flex (and more) for a player. We then can build a frequency matched set of irons/hybrids which will allow the player to more easily repeat the same good swing. An adjustment in lie will allow the player to hit the ball closer to the target. Length adjustments will allow the player to repeatedly hit the ball closer to the center of gravity on the clubface. Below is more about what we look at, and why it's so important to be fit by a knowledgable club-fitter like those here at Southy Custom Golf. We fit all Hybrids and Irons to the following variables:

Hit the ball longer and straighter...

Hit more greens in regulation, and be closer to the pin!

"There is no better proof than a quick look at the statistics of the European Tour and PGA Tour. The average Tour player hits 11 to 12 greens in regulation per round yet still shoots par or better. How? By getting the ball close enough to the hole with their wedges to make the putts for par to save their round."

Wedge Fitting

Getting up and down more often, starts with the wedges...

A wedge fitting is the second most important fitting (next to putter fitting). Getting the ball closer to the pin for their best chance to 1-putt, saving par, keeps the golfer shooting low scores, more consistently. It's about finding wedges that complement your game, to get the ball "up and down" more often. Below is more about what we look at, and why it's so important to be fit by a knowledgeable club-fitter like those here at Southy Custom Golf. We fit all Wedges to the following variables:

  • Sand Conditions
  • Grass Conditions
  • Green Design
  • Wedge Specifications
  • Loft
  • Dynamic Lie Angle
  • Bounce
  • Grind

"the proper custom Iron fitting analysis can make a big difference for golfers and can bring about more greens hit in regulation as well as a lower score."
— Tom Wishon, Tom Wishon Golf Technology

Putter Fitting

Putter is the ONLY club you use on every hole...

Putter fitting is the most important club to be fit, and always overlooked. You've heard of every other club being fit, but didn't think twice about the putter. If you have more than 30 putts in a round of 18-holes, then you definitely need to consider a putter fitting. The putter is the quickest way to take strokes off your game. Once you find your optimal putter that matches your stroke and tendancies, you don't have to worry about it again. Putters can be the most expensive club in the entire bag, and there is a reason for that! No golfer needs a "Tour" putter (although they are pretty nice to look at), but having a finely made putter can help you putt better. Below is more about what we look at, and why it's so important to be fit by a knowledgeable club-fitter like those here at Southy Custom Golf. We fit all Hybrids and Irons to the following variables:

  • Length
  • Lie
  • Loft
  • Grip Size
  • Style & Club-head Design
  • Toe Flow
  • Head Weight
  • Counter-Balancing

"The art of putting is about controlling distance and direction. The science of putter design is about increasing your ability to master those two factors.""
— Bobby Grace, Bobby Grace Putters
